I'm starting off my Real Foods series with what looks like BOMB chicken. I decided to scour my Pinterest food inspiration board for something simple, delicious, and a healthier version of a favorite. You know, tryin to be an adult.
And, I mean... look at that beauty.
It's crispy chicken nuggets with honey sauce. AND it only takes a total of 30 minutes. Could this be the mythical cure to my cravings for fast food?
(Disclaimer: I'm not good with food, and I'm suuuper picky. Again, not an "adult." So feel free to challenge my review below and try it for yourself! Maybe you will absolutely love it!)
I want everyone to know that I really tried with this one. I really really wanted it to be a keeper.
The recipe makes it seem super simple, so I was pretty confident.
Although the recipe says that you can prep, make and cook this in 30 minutes, it took me more like an hour and 30 minutes.
Definitely not the quick, easy dinner that I wanted, and certainly not going to be the solution to my fast food cravings.
There was definitely not anything wrong about the recipe, but it is incredibly messy, dirties too many dishes, took took long, and was just... meh. I hated the sauce, and the chicken was just.... meh.
Verdict: Not worth it.
Better luck next time, I guess! I'll try to find something better for you guys!
