This weekend I tried to make a classier dinner option that was super simple, but felt a bit more polished than my usual meals.
So, I went to my Pinterest board and picked this "One Pot Garlic Parmesan Pasta." I really didnt want to go to the store for additional ingredients and this one happened to only need a few essentials. I didn't mean to select another recipe from DamnDelicious, but it just happened... Plus, with a picture like this, how could I NOT try it!
It was advertised as a lighter version of an Alfredo sauce, and by cooking the whole thing in a single pot, only ONE dish to clean! HOLLA!
It was definitely a great, easy recipe that it more interesting than just plain noodles and a chicken breast (my go-to dinner these days).
The only ingredients are: milk, butter, garlic, chicken broth and pasta!
The downside for me is that is is still very heavy. I mean, it feels to me just like a massive coronary block. Which definitely isn't a bad thing!! I would also probably cut the garlic measurement in half.
(Side Note: Mincing garlic is too hard.... That's why mine has chunks in it)
Supposedly, this only takes a total of 30 minutes. So either I have a broken stovetop or the recipe is wrong. It was more like 45 minutes and the noodles weren't all the way cooked! BUT I didn't have fettucini, so it is possible that the change in pasta affected the cook time.
Altogether though, simple, tasty, and I certainly will be mixing it into my dinner options!
